About the Association
Welfare Association, Chennai Circle
The SBI SC/ST Employees Welfare Association, Chennai Circle is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the welfare and development of its members, who are employees of the State Bank of India. The association was formed in 1980 with the aim of improving the working conditions and socio-economic status of its members and to provide a platform for their collective representation. The organization is run by a team of elected representatives, with a General Secretary at the helm who oversees its functioning.
It strives to address the various challenges faced by its members and provides them with support and guidance in their professional and personal lives. The association is committed to promoting the rights of its members and ensuring that their voices are heard and their interests protected — offering a range of services and benefits including access to legal aid, financial assistance, and other support programs.
